Has anyone snorkeled the Red Sea in Saudi Arabia? I am looking for resorts with easy access to the sea. I am also interested in finding resorts with muck snorkeling. Thanks.

Yes! I followed this suggestion from a local and had a great experience. Go to Le Plage in Jeddah and ask to go to the dive shop area. They’ll let you walk by people lounging on chairs in bathing suits out to the end of the walkway. The snorkeling area is roped off and doesn’t look like much but it’s fantastic. Some coral and loads of fish. Here’s a link from google maps.
Compared to what we are used to here in Queensland Australia, it was very disappointing. Not a lot of color, no large numbers of fish.
