by: Galen & Nicole

Someday we will visit Aruba & Curacao and write about it but until then hopefully you will get some responses from other folks who have gone.

Make sure and read this page for a little bit about Curacao:

Have fun.

Snorkeling Curacao is lovely!
by: Susan

We were there summer 2010. You will find delightful beaches and very good snorkeling. Rent a car and drive north to Playa Lagun. Picture perfect. Sit on the free benches or rent a chair in the shade for a few dollars. Snorkel both sides of the cove. Shallow, truly exceptional to the right. It had the feeling of swimming in an aquarium. Nice small restaurant next to the parking lot with good local food. A short distance up the narrow road (which is fun to drive, two lanes) take a right to Playa Knip. The road forks, follow around to the right. Small local beach, benches with umbrellas, first come first served for free. No services. Snorkel around to the left. Wonderful corals and squid! We did run into tiny jellyfish. All I felt was a brief pinch. Not worth getting out of the water for.

We also snorkeled at Playa Cas Aboa. I am sure it will be packed with cruise folk. You pay to go in. Nice beach, lunch counter, chairs in shade. The snorkeling was ok. It is closer to town. Nice thing about Curacao, small, not too many roads. You can't get lost. And the people of Curacao are very friendly. Have fun!
