Snorkeling Olowalu Beach - Maui

by Susan

Pretty coral red anemone

Last March we were in Maui and it was choppy a lot and the lady that ran the place we were staying in at Napili bay told us about Olowalu. I can never remember the name so I always call it Mile marker 14. Anyway, we went there and I loved it. We went again this time for the same reason. We always see lots of neat fish there and this time Humahuma's were everywhere. I've never really seen that many at one time. It is kind of tough sometimes making your way through all the coral to go out deeper without getting wounded. The rocks sometimes make up for the coral, but I like to look at coral too. I just take bandaids for the trip. :) I got lots of good pictures so I'm going to put some on here too. Photo shop does wonders taking some of the green out if you can't get the light just right. It shows what I really see underwater.
