We are pretty tuned in to the wide world of snorkeling, and come across interesting snorkeling news items all the time. We post fun and interesting things regularly to our snorkeling blog, so don't miss following that via RSS, Twitter or Facebook.

Below are collections of some of the fun snorkeling news items we come across. Some of it is purely entertaining stuff, like celebrity snorkeling sightings. But we also come across lots of very interesting stuff relating to the underwater world and snorkeling. We also keep a status update for what we are currently doing here.

For our next snorkel trip we are heading to Maui in September. We have missed a lot of spots in Maui in the past because of winds. Hopefully this time we can visit everywhere we want.

And we are contemplating visiting either the British Virgin Islands in the spring, or maybe the Bahamas. We are considering renting a sailboat for a couple of weeks as the best way to visit the many spots in the British Virgin Islands, but we will see if that pans out.

And on the home front we are evading the summer heat by painting the inside of our house, which is a big project (hopefully we will get it all done before we go to Maui).

The only celebrity snorkeling story we have had is that one time in Baja, Mexico we had a fun day hanging out with english actor Sean Pertwee and his girlfriend. We went out kayaking and snorkeling with them, and had dinner with them that evening, drinking and trading stories. We were envious of his lifestyle, and he was envious of our more carefree lives. He was working on the movie Solider (1998) with Kurt Russell and Warner Brothers put him up at a resort during a filming break. He thought they were going to be mad at him for getting a tan half way through the movie filming.
