Snorkeling Glover's Reef
Extra Pictures & Videos Page 2

Snorkeling Glover's Reef provided so many wonderful picture opportunities of healthy reefs and fish that we went a little crazy. So please enjoy this page of pictures and the third page, and if you have not yet seen the main page on snorkeling Glover's Reef it is here.

Glover's Reef had a wonderful variety of hard and soft corals like the Mountainous Star Coral below.

Enjoy the video below that shows tons of healthy algae wafting around in the surge.

If you look carefully in the picture below you can see a Trumpetfish, with it's head pointing down, floating next to the sea rods. Trumpetfish are really very interesting to watch. Not only are they bizarre looking, they also change color to match their backgrounds.

Fairy Basslet On the right is a Fairy Basslet.

And below are three different types of coral, starting with what I believe is Blade Fire Coral, followed by Symmetrical Brain Coral, and some Elkhorn Coral.

Sometimes the life was so dense and healthy on this reef that it was worthwhile just to snorkel in one spot and look for awhile. In the picture below you can see sponges, Fire Coral, sea anemones, and lots of algae. And in the second picture below is a Juvenile Stoplight Parrotfish.
