Snorkeling Electric beach is AWESOME! - Oahu

I'm only on the island for a few days of work with the Navy. Yesterday after work I went to electric beach after reading the description on here. I was very impressed. I didn't go too far out but there were a ton of fish and a cool type of urchin I had never seen before. I was only in the water for about 45 minutes. Today I started out at Ko Olina lagoon #4 after reading the review here. I was pretty disappointed with that lagoon. It has its merits for timid beginner swimmers but the water was very cloudy and there wasn't much to see until I got right by the entrance to the lagoon. I may take my 5 year old son here when we come back in a few months. So after about 20 minutes in Lagoon #4 I went back to electric beach and I am so glad I did. Before I even got in the water I saw a turtle playing in the surf. When I got in I was able to swim with him for about 5 minutes. Then I went all the way out to where the power plant is pumping out the water and it is amazing. The visibility was great and there are an amazing assortment of fish all around the area. I can see why people take boats out there. It is a bit of a swim, but with fins its not hard. Maybe 10 minutes to get back in. Anyway, if you are looking for a quick snorkel on the west side this place kicks butt.
