Snorkeling Alligator Reef Videos

We loved snorkeling Alligator Reef, and besides all the pictures and other details we shared on our main page about snorkeling Alligator Reef here, we also took a number of videos that are fun to see.

From the moment we jumped in the water from the snorkel boat it was clear there were a bunch of fish here. In the video below you can see them swarming the boat side, apparently looking for a treat.

And in the video below you can see some of the many fish and nice purple sea fans that are all over the rocks in the shallows close to the Alligator Reef Lighthouse tower. Shortly into the video watch for the parrotfish and the little fish that attacks him, defending it's territory.

In this video from snorkeling Alligator Reef I move from the shallow areas toward the base of the lighthouse.

And in the next video I do a quick panoramic tour from underneath the tower. You can see all of the old steel pieces laying on the ground and all of the fish using the tower for it's shade. You have to be very careful not to scratch yourself up if you go underneath the tower. Mostly it is better to just stay outside of it.

And in the next video you can see even more fish from a different side of the tower. It was amazing watching all of these tiny fish move together in fluid forms.

And in this final Alligator Reef snorkeling video when we were heading back to the boat Nicole and I came across a very young turtle, who had no interest in hanging around. He was a fast swimmer!
