San Andres Island, Colombia Snorkeling Tips?

by Site Visitor
(Boston)

We are looking for any tips on snorkeling in San Andreas Island, Columbia. We are fairly new to snorkeling (2 years) and fell in love with it. We own gear (no fins yet), and go out up here in the Boston area as mush as we can.

We would LOVE to see whale sharks, which are supposedly common in this area. Sharks, octopus, rays, etc. would also be a delight.

Anything to be wary of that may come inspect us and possibly nibble?

Thank you.

Snorkeling San Andres Island
by: Anonymous

I've snorkeled in San Andres Island. I found the best spot is at a place called West End. Locals swim there and feed the fish as well. You can snorkel among the fish which is neat. Have fun and enjoy.
