Spotted Eagle Ray at Tori's Reef on Bonaire

On my last trip to Bonaire I heard at one of the dive shops that there were Spotted Eagle Rays at Tori's Reef so decided to check it out. My first snorkeling encounter with eagle rays and this was a lucky shot.

It was taken with an Olympus Camedia C5050 Zoom camera which has since died so I will have to buy a new one before my next trip and learn to use it. Hopefully it will take as good of pictures.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture of a gorgeous creature. They are a joy to see!

We have not been as lucky to see them at Tori's Reef, but we tried and saw their tracks in the sand where they were digging up food.

When we were on Bonaire in May, we had a close encounter with a young Spotted Eagle Ray on a night snorkel... What a treat!
