Ko Olina Lagoon Snorkeling

by Emily
(California)

Ko Olina Lagoon

Ko Olina Lagoon

We stayed at the Ko Olina Beach Club resort, Woderful place. Everyday after the main snorkeling we would walk out to the Lagoon Three, and one of the best snorkeling lagoons. We get in and its sandy all over. I saw one goat fish. Ok.... We swim in more and I start seeing little bits of coral. Then we came to the best area. The rocks on either side that you are in between you have at least 50 fish around them and below you pairs and schools of fish swimming under you. Not very good coral to look at. We decided to go to the other side of the lagoon and into those sets of rocks past the current area. Snorkeling was bad on this side of the lagoon. Bad visibility. No fish. The only thing I liked that we came across a sea turtle. But of course as it got farther and farther out we could not see it from 10 ft. away.
