I have the Canon D10 for Snorkeling

I am a professional photographer and I use Canon only.. so when the Canon D10 came out I was very excited! Its a great underwater camera and is very sturdy! Ive gone snorkeling twice with it and both times it was great! Very easy to use has an underwater setting. My only qualm is that the delay is a little slow, but after all it is a point and shoot.. and I got it online for $250 which is a bit cheaper than the retail of $300+.. Overall its a great camera and I use it alot!

RE: Snorkeling with a Canon D10
by: Galen & Nicole

Allison, it is great to hear that a professional has the same opinion about the Canon D10 for snorkeling that I do. Despite it being out for a couple of years now it is still one of my top picks on my best snorkeling cameras recommandations page.

And since you know how a camera works Allison, if you decide to upgrade a little you may really enjoy to use the Canon S95. You can program a button for quick one button push white balance adjustment, it has a fast F2.0 lens, and has pretty darn good high ISO performance. It still has a bit of shutter lag, but like you said, what can you expect from a point and shoot? Nicole is looking to upgrade to one of these for our next trip.

I love my D10 too. I'm not a profession which is why I like it. I don't have to be to use it. It's also great if you have vision problems with the large display so you don't end up thinking you're taking a movie but oops! couldn't see it. I've already checked mine to get ready to use it in Bonaire and can't wait to see the pictures when I get back. I'll definitely upload some. The best feature though imo is the large settings display so I can finally see what I'm taking a picture of.
