I must confess, I use the cheap disposable cameras all the time and so far I am really impressed by them. My real dream would be to buy a underwater video camera but so far my money is going to taking the trips.

"Cheap" waterproof video camera
by: Phyllis

Your photos are great! I've gotten some wonderful stills with a disposable camera, too. On our last trip to the Big Island a friend took some very clear video with her Liquid Image snorkel mask camera. She reports that the mask was comfortable and fit well. All that for only $98.

Wow!

I read some of your other post about the seal and shark. You must have had a wonderful trip and your pictures were great for a disposable. We started out with one of those and recently I bought an Oympus Stylus Tough because I didn't want to use a camera housing. It was around $100 and did panorama and video clips and is super easy to change from video to snapshot. It's a pretty neat little camera for the price. I was more impressed with all the great "critters" you got to see. Our next trip is to the Big Island but since we just went to Maui in January, it may be a few months. Although I love Maui, I think our best snorkeling trip was to the Big Island. I want to swim with a seal. I saw one on shore in Kaui and kayaked by a sea lion in San Diego, but that wasn't like swimming with them I'm sure. Glad you had such a great time.
