Big Island Snorkeling Guide
Ho'okena Beach Park
Extra Pictures Page

This Big Island snorkeling beach was so beautiful we had to show some more underwater pictures. The little reef on the left hand side had several linear fins running out from shore that took our breath away. They were simple and small, but so enjoyable to check out. If you did not see the first page with directions to this beach click here for more about Ho'okena Snorkeling.

I love taking pictures close to shore. The sun shinning through the water makes wonderful designs on the sandy bottom. You can just make out a bunch of Cornetfish in this shot.

In this shot you can see how colorful some of the corals are and how stunning clear the water was.

Coral Formations

Here are a couple of fish haning out in the coral. The black one is a Pinktail Triggerfish.

Here is a patch of bright Red Pencil Urchins. We found more of these here than anywhere else.
