Beautiful Kepuhi Snorkeling - Kauai

by Jeff
(Ventura, California)

I was very fortunate to stay steps away from this beautiful beach and snorkel spot. Snorkeling when it is sunny is the only way to go. By staying so close, simply wait for a big sunny patch of sky and snorkel up.

Kepuhi is truly gorgeous snorkeling. Never crowded with beautiful younger coral. The coral is in great shape due to few crowds and comes in many varieties and colors here. It is a fairly shallow area which brings smaller fish, but you are so close to them you will be rewarded with brilliant colors and awesome detail. These fish will be popping out of every nook and cranny. Enjoy!

Kauai Snorkeling Spot
by: Galen & Nicole

Thanks for that update on Kapuhi Jeff. It is one of our favorite snorkeling spots on Kauai. I bet it would be nice to stay there. It is a beautiful location.

What were the currents like when you where there?

Great Spot
by: Steven

I stayed in a vacation rental right on Kepuhi also. An awsome place to snorkel. A few times the current was running hard left to right but most days it was ok. I was there in September for two weeks. Only had one or two people on the beach never the less snorkeling. One native spear fisherman a few times, which was very cool. Lots of fish semi large and small. Few turtles but not many. Great coral. All in all a great beach for both snorkeling and just relaxing with NO CROWDS! Not like Tunnels or Ke'e. Take the time to find it and check it out, it is very much worth in.
