Awesome but Scary - Snorkeling Electric Beach - Oahu

My daughter and I snorkeled at Electric beach for the first time November 2010. This place is incredible! We had tried H Bay and Sharks Cove but they are so crowed that it took away some of the fun. Snorkeling here was like truly being in the middle of the wild ocean. It was scary to be so far away from the shore and in fairly deep water but the number of fish and the types of fish made it a whole new adventure! Be careful not to go out too far, we had trouble swimming back in and we really got tired from fighting the tides. We were told later that we should have swam parallel then back in to shore. It was an amazing trip and we hope to do it again soon! |
