Ahihi Cove Snorkeling Maui

Windy day, June 2 2010, so at 12:45pm husband didn't want to go but I did. It was nice in the cove with lots of fishes but not lots of humans, just a few and they were all thrilled by what they had seen, were seeing or were going to see. I need a good resource for names of fishes. Any suggestions? PT

Polly, glad to hear you had a nice time at Ahihi Cove.

We have a fish guide for Hawaii called "Hawaiian Reef Fish" by Astrid Witte & Casey Mahaney. It is pretty good. Try to get one with real pictures instead of drawings, it makes it much easier to identify. The dive shops in Kihei should have some fish guides.
